What do we do?
The Learning Pad provides a unique and fun approach to teaching and learning. Our tuition centre is based in Formby village and offers one to one and small group tuition for children aged 4-18 years old. We also provide home education, educational workshops and work with local schools offering tuition within the school setting.
We are dedicated to providing bespoke tuition which takes into account each child’s needs and learning style, helping them to believe that they have the potential to achieve anything!
Our Ethos
We believe that every child needs a champion; a tutor to build their confidence, raise their spirit and support them both emotionally and academically throughout the learning process. We aspire to be relatable, kind, enthusiastic and to build genuine friendships with the children we teach.
We take our work extremely seriously but we also realise that children need to be relaxed and happy in order to learn! We provide private tuition in a homely learning environment with interactive, fun learning experiences; experiments, outdoor games, board games, scavenger hunts etc. Children learn what they love!
Individualised Learning
We will assess each student to ascertain their current level and create individual targets to work towards. We feedback to parents at the end of each lesson and we are happy to answer questions, recommend resources and advise parents on how they can help their children at home.
